About The Carved Angel - Luxury Christmas Pudding
The Carved Angel Restaurant was opened in 1974 by Joyce Molyneux, based upon the premise of high quality modern British food using only the finest local ingredients. Over the next three decades The Carved Angel's stature and reputation grew as it came to be acknowledged as one of the Country's finest restaurants.
Today the Carved Angel has sourced the finest ingredients to combine in their delicious range of extra special products. By taking products that we all enjoy and making sure they meet the highest standards in terms of quality and taste, but we didn't stop there. We wanted to add something a little special like Champagne to our Tipsy Strawberry Jam, the tastiest Raspberries to our Blush Raspberry Jam and the finest crunchy vegtables to our chutneys to create delicious products with an added wow factor. Gift ideas, including Mason Cash classic mixing bowl...
We are proud to include some traditional products that fit in perfectly with the Carved Angel range, including a classic mixing bowl from Mason Cash (used for all our Christmas Puddings) and preserve jars from Kilner jars. Both products are unique and have stood the test of time for over 150 years. The range isn't just practical but would look fabulous in any kitchen and make wonderful and thoughtful gifts. All our products are suitable for vegetarians. Although they are made to nut free recipes they are produced in an environment where peanuts, nuts and sesame seeds are handled. For further information about allergens please look to the ingredient label on each product or feel free to contact us.
All our Christmas puddings can be prepared by Steaming or in the Microwave.

Luxury pudding range
Shortly after opening The Carved Angel Restaurant in 1974, the owner looked for a recipe idea for the winter. She stumbled across one for a Christmas Pudding by renowned Victorian Chef Eliza Acton and set about recreating and updating the recipe. The result - a Christmas Pudding that was neither too dark nor too pale, moist yet light, had a flavour that harmonised the subtle spice, sweetness and warmth of the brandy and soft textured fruit..
